1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GoalGuess Progressive Web App (PWA) at goalguess.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account on GoalGuess, in compliance with GDPR age of consent requirements.

By creating an account via Google OAuth, you represent that all information provided is accurate and that your use of the service does not violate any applicable law.

3. Service Disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. No Gambling & Virtual Points

GoalGuess is a sports prediction platform intended for entertainment purposes only.

The points, levels, and leaderboard ranks within the app have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, goods, or services.

GoalGuess is not a gambling platform. Any use of the platform to facilitate or organize real-world wagering or illegal gambling is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

5. User Conduct and Content

You are solely responsible for the First Name you provide at registration, for any League Nickname you set within a mini-league, and for text you post on a private mini-league message wall. League Nicknames are optional display names used only within the specific league where you set them. Wall messages are visible to members of that private league only; do not post unlawful, harassing, or offensive content.

You agree not to use names that are offensive, defamatory, or infringe on the rights of others.

We reserve the right to remove any user or league that we deem to be engaging in harassment, cheating, or behavior that undermines the integrity of the game.

6. Data Usage and Anonymization

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

GoalGuess uses Google OAuth for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.

Anonymization Agreement: You acknowledge and agree that if you delete your account, your First Name, Email, and Tokens will be destroyed, but your historical prediction data will be irreversibly anonymized and retained to preserve the integrity of league leaderboards.

7. Push Notifications

We send push notifications (match results, rank changes, and tournament updates) via browser-based push notifications based on your explicit consent.

You may opt out at any time. Turning push notifications OFF will trigger the immediate deletion of your push subscription token from our database.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of GoalGuess shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

In no event shall total liability exceed the amount paid by the user (if any) to use the service.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
